Sam Karp started flying drones in early 2016 and received his Part 107 License in 2018. Since then, he’s been doing freelance drone and video work in Central Pennsylvania under the name “Enhanced Aerial”. With a passion for creating videos, tinkering with electronics, and a love for all things drone related, he quickly found himself knee-deep in the FPV drone community.
Getting into FPV during the summer of 2018, he quickly learned to build, program, and fly custom FPV drones. The first of which were a “Shendrones Squirt” and a 5-inch drone based off the “TBS Source One” frame. Since then, he’s flown, crashed, repaired, and customized several different FPV drones.
Before Sam decided to become a Part 107 drone pilot, he worked as a computer repair technician at a local company called “Greybeard Technology” where he landed an internship thanks to the owner, who at the time was also his martial arts instructor. Eventually the internship turned into a full-time job repairing computers and helping to manage IT at several school districts.
