Hoodman Ground Control Point (GCP) Kits are made up of (5) 3Ft diameter, spring into shape, self-weighted circular pads that are numbered individually 1 – 5, or 6-10. The high visibility orange and black right-angle pattern of each GCP is easy to locate on video. The GCP Kit is made to last with galvanized steel perimeter cable and rugged polyester material. The weighted pad perimeter holds position with no need to pound in stakes. 4-tie down loops are included for long term GCP positioning where livestock might move the pads. Convenient 24 inch scaling constraint marks are printed into the pattern of each GCP. Each pad has a center grommet for surveyor staff placement for pinpoint accuracy of GPS coordinates. All 5 GCP pads weigh just 22 pounds total and fit snuggly in a convenient carry bag with shoulder strap. Cleanup is easy with mild soap and water. Be sure to let pads dry prior to placing in the carry bag to avoid mildew forming.

Commercial Drone Expo on foot Wednesday September 6, 2023
The Hoodman team of Lou and Bob Schmidt walked the Expo Floor in 4 hours. Visiting with many of our dealers and drone bundling resellers asking what new products we should create. Trade Shows are the perfect setting for targeted market research for new product development. Many of the manufacturers of larger drones had interest in bundling Hoodman drone landing pads with their logos on them. The thought was, lets set our customers up for success by eliminating pebble strikes, sand burnt bearings and locked up gimbles. Happy customers are good for business. Fewer drones in for repairs that were preventable with the use of a Hoodman drone landing pad. Overall, the drone industry is alive and well with many exciting prospects for exponential growth.
