Country Boys Auction & Realty, Inc Since our very first auction in 1975, Country Boys Auction & Realty, Inc. has been servicing the needs of individuals, lending institutions, and the court systems for over 40 years. We have continually strived to provide the most complete liquidation services for all types of real estate; residential, recreational, commercial, or industrial property, as well as a vast array of personal property including vehicles, machinery, equipment and even intellectual and intangible assets and properties. Our company sells both personal property and real estate in multiple venues including auction, retail sales, listings, private sale, and liquidation. We market our auctions and sales on a variety of platforms including advertising on local, regional, state, and national levels. In addition to newspaper advertising, we regularly utilize advertising in trade magazines and specialty industry publications including print and digital editions as well as a vast array of websites and other internet platforms. We also use a variety of signage including small “yard” signs, banners, and large rigid signage to promote sales. Our company uses electronic advertising such as direct email, websites, and other platforms to promote our auctions. We have built a private contact list of several thousand customers that have requested auction information and updates through direct email and text. Country Boys Auction has a large social media following as well where we can share direct posts as well as expose auctions in appropriate groups and marketplaces. Mike Gurkins, CEO/President is a licensed real estate broker, NCRE License #200166 for 15 years, and auctioneer, NCAL #3401 for 25 years. He has developed his skills from working side by side with his father, the founder of the company, his entire career as well as drawing from his direct involvement in the industry. Mike started participating in the family auction business as a child and has spent his entire life in the industry and is now leading Country Boys Auction & Realty Co., Inc. into a new generation of auction, liquidation, and evaluation for an even larger customer base. Dewey Dunn, VP in charge of Real Estate & Marketing, is a licensed Real Estate Broker (NCRE #221385) and auctioneer (NCAL #7430) both for over 10 years, started working for Country Boys Auction on a limited part-time basis in the late 1980’s and continued until he became a full-time employee in the late 1990’s. He has become an integral part of the company both as an auctioneer and as a Real Estate Broker. Dewey has a strong background in all types of general and heavy construction, underground utility & pipeline construction, along with trucking and transportation. 2022 brought the full-time additions of Nick Gurkins as Country Boys Operations Manager and Auctioneer and Samantha Dunn Whedbee as Country Boys Office Manager and Auctioneer. Additionally, Country Boys Auction & Realty, Inc. has a large full-time staff of trained professionals to assist both our buying and selling customers with all their needs including (6) licensed Auctioneers and (4) Licensed Real Estate Brokers in addition to our office, auction, warehouse, and moving personnel.   Country Boys Auction & Realty, Inc. (CBA) has been employed by the Trustee for the US Federal Bankruptcy Court to sell the assets of PrecisionHawk at public auction. The assets include over 130 drones as well as a very large amount of drone-based equipment, including imaging equipment, LIDAR units, gas leak detection units, GPS equipment, cameras, multi-sensing equipment, charging equipment, controllers, and much more. All of the drones and equipment are located at our Washington, NC facility and can be physically inspected weekdays 8am - 4pm beginning on March 18, 2024. The majority of the drones and drone-based equipment will be sold in an online only auction starting on April 2, 2024. This auction will be held on the HiBid online auction platform. There are over 350 auction lots in this online auction alone. There are other assets in this case including damaged drones, additional equipment cases, bulk lots of batteries, chargers, drone parts, damaged equipment, office/shop equipment, etc. that will not be offered in the online auction. PrecisionHawk was a very large drone industry company, and this auction includes a very large amount of equipment and other items being sold in both of these auctions.
